Introduction

SteadyOn is a health & safety compliance management application designed for smaller organisations.

SteadyOn helps businesses meet their obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA) without the complexity of enterprise safety software.

Every organisation with employees has a legal duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 to identify hazards, assess risks, and actively manage them — not just on paper, but provably and on an ongoing basis. WorkSafe NZ can walk in at any time, and when they do, the first thing they ask for is your records: What hazards did you know about? When did you know? What did you do about it? If the answer is a folder of handwritten notes, a spreadsheet that hasn’t been touched in six months, or worse, nothing at all — you are exposed. Fines for individuals can reach $100,000; for organisations, $500,000. But fines are only part of it. If someone is seriously hurt at your workplace and you cannot demonstrate that you identified the risk, assessed it, and took action to control it, you are not just facing a penalty — you are facing prosecution, reputational damage, and the knowledge that it could have been prevented. SteadyOn exists because no business should be in that position. It gives you an auditable, real-time system that logs every hazard, every incident, every corrective action, and every inspection — with a live risk status so you always know what needs your attention next. It is not about compliance for compliance’s sake. It is about protecting your people, protecting your business, and being able to look a WorkSafe inspector — or a judge — in the eye and show them exactly what you did and when you did it.
